15 Movie Questions

 1. Movie you love with a passion.

Hands down, no contest The Philadelphia Story. It is the closest thing in my book to the perfect cast and story. You have a bit of drama, comedy, love, everything! If you don't know anything about this film and are watching it for the first time, you really wouldn't know who Katharine Hepburn will choose. Sweet Jimmy Stewart or Sexy Cary Grant. Ahhh, such an amazing film!!!

2. Movie you vow to never watch.

Besides the “Pirate” movies? Well, Since I'm going all classic here, I’d go with….Angie on this one. Old Yeller. I have no desire to see it. It looks too sad. I've heard the story and want nothing to do with it.

3. Movie that literally left you speechless.
There is a tie there. “The world, the Flesh and the Devil” is one. It's a heartbreaking film about a woman left alone on earth with the oh so sexy Harry Belefonte and Mel Ferrer, tensions rise between the three, particularly between Thacker, who is white, and Burton, who is black.

And ON THE BEACH, with Ava Gardner and Gregory Peck. WWII  has devastated the northern hemisphere, polluting the atmosphere with nuclear fallout and killing all life. While the bombs were confined to the northern hemisphere, air currents are slowly carrying the fallout to the south. The only areas still habitable are in the far southern hemisphere, like Australia. Peck is a Navy man who comes up in Australia and falls for Ava after learning his wife and family have died. It's a very depressing, movie because eventually, everyone will die.

 4. Movie you always recommend.
“Gone with the Wind” AGAIN, and AGAIN, and AGAIN.

5. Actor/actress you always watch, no matter how crappy the movie.
Bogart on the Actor side. I will watch anything and everything he is in! On the Actress side, Norma Shearer, everything.

6. Actor/actress you don’t get the appeal for.
Judy Garland. I'm not a fan. I don't know why.

7. Actor/actress, living or dead, you’d love to meet.
Bogart, Bacall, Lloyd, Shearer, Gable, Hepburn (both) Chaplin, Lionel Barrymore, Jimmy Stewart, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Claude Raines, Carol Lombard, William Powell, Myrna Loy, Jean Arthur, and oh so many many more!!!

8. Sexiest actor/actress you’ve seen.
Bogart. Hands Down. Bogart.

9. Dream cast.
Bogart, Cary Grant, and William Powell in something. I think Bogart could pull off some good comedy. For the women in my comedy, Katie Hepburn, Norma Shearer, and Carol Lombard.

10. Favorite actor pairing.
William Powell and Myrna Loy. Amazing, and hilarious.

11. Favorite movie setting.
It Happened One Night. I dig the Bus and motor camp setting!

12. Favorite decade for movies.
20’s through ’40s. I can't pick just one!

13. Chick flick or action movie?
I am very chick flick orientated. I prefer chick Flicks, my fave is the ultimate Chick Flick. 1939’s The Women. For action, I prefer a Bogart or Cagney gangster flick.

14. Hero, villain, or anti-hero?
Favorite Hero is Cary Grant in North By Northwest
Villian: Roy ‘Mad Dog‘ Earle, sweet, sexy, and in charge! LOVE IT!
Anti-Hero- Sam Spade in The Maltese Falcon. (See a theme here?)

15. Black and white or color?
Both are great, but I love a black and white film.
